Each month, we highlight one of our Twin Hill team members. This month, we're speaking with Lynn Helfrich, Director, Program Management.
What is your job title? Director, Program Management.
How long have you worked at Twin hill? Three years.
Coffee or Tea? Neither, I’m a bottled water person. I usually sneak in a latte on Saturday mornings.
What’s the first thing you do when you get to work? Look at my calendar and prep for the calls of the day.
Have you read any good books lately? I was traveling with a colleague and he recommended a quick read called Make Your Bed. It’s written by a Navy SEAL, Admiral William H. McRaven who shares ten key principles learned during his training that helped him overcome challenges in life and in his career. He goes on to explain how anyone can apply these lessons to their own lives.
What is your favorite season in Texas? Being from the Northeast, I love coming to Texas in February/March when the flowers are starting to bloom and the weather is Spring-like. I’m usually arriving from freezing temps and snow.
How have you progressed since joining Twin Hill? I’ve been able to build my portfolio of accounts and work with some great PMs.
What are your main responsibilities? I’m accountable for a portfolio of business consisting of large and small accounts. Along with my team, we work to build customer relationships while providing service excellence and delivery of custom corporate apparel programs that elevate our customer’s brand image.
Which part of your job do you enjoy the most? On-boarding a new account.
What is the most challenging part of your job? Same as above- on-boarding a new account. All accounts are not alike. Each offers its own unique challenges.
What’s your favorite sports team? Since I’m from Boston, I can get myself in trouble with this one. Is it 6 rings? I’ll stick with my son's sport teams….Holy Cross Crusaders and Marshfield Rams.
What department is your role under? I reside in the Operations world.
What makes your team different than others? My team members are all different and each of them possesses various strengths and brings something unique to the business.
How would you describe your team in three words? Customer obsessed team.
Outside of work, do you have any hobbies or interests? I like to paint –both artistically and when doing HGTV-like projects. I play tennis. I enjoy my perennials gardens.
What has been the highlight of your career at Twin Hill so far? Receiving the Global People Supplier Award from McDonald’s at the 2018 Worldwide Convention.
What is one thing that most people do not know about you? I’m afraid of heights, but I love to go rappelling.
If you could be anywhere (other than the office) right now, where would you be? At a beach, sitting under a palm tree, watching the surf and enjoying the ocean air.
What’s the best vacation spot? Costa Rica. The hot springs are magical. It has great beaches, a beautiful rainforest, the world’s longest zip-line, and many places to partake in # 17.
What will you do when you get home today? Enjoy dinner with my family and catch up on all of events of the day.
