Each month, we highlight one of our Twin Hill team members. This month, we're speaking with Temika Bolar, Senior Manager of Customer Care.
How long have you worked at Twin Hill?
4 Years and 10 months. I started with Twin Hill December 2012.
How have you progressed since joining Twin Hill?
I started as a Customer Service Representative in 2012 and was able to get promoted to Account Specialist/CS Lead 7 months later in 2013. In 2014 I was promoted to Supervisor, 2015 I was promoted to Manager, and 2016 I was promoted to Sr. Manager.
What are your main responsibilities?
Develop and grow the CS Team (Sales Order Management, Account Specialist, Embroidery, and CSR’s). Facilitate Trainings and Meetings to keep the team abreast of ongoing changes, goals, and updates.
Which part of your job do you enjoy the most?
I love the fact that every day that I come in, that it is going to be a new challenge or a new issue to keep me on my toes. I also love the fact that I’ve been with the company for almost 5 years, and I still learn something new every day.
What is the most challenging part of your job?
The most challenging part of my job is not being able to engage with the entire team as much as I did when I was a lead or supervisor. The more promotions I get, I feel that it takes me further and further away from the CS team as a whole, so I challenge myself to make sure that on a daily/weekly/monthly basis, I let the team and customers know how much they are appreciated and I try my best to touch and acknowledge as many team members as I possibly can. Without the team, I am NOTHING!
What makes Twin Hill’s Customer Service team different than others?
We have fun with our coworkers, but we also have fun with our clients when they call, chat, or email in. We genuinely focus on taking care of the client and finding the best solution for them, even if the solution is out of our hands. We work hard, but we also play hard to achieve the goal of World Class Customer Service.
How would you describe Twin Hill’s Customer Service team in three words?
Goal Oriented, Knowledgeable, and Unpredictable
What has been the highlight of your career at Twin Hill so far?
Being handpicked for the Tailored Brands Development Circle Program and being able to gain a Mentor along the way.
Outside of work, do you have any hobbies or interests?
I love to read, shop, joke around, and hang out with my family.
What is one thing that most people do not know about you?
I am a huge Jay Z fan and met him once! I let Beyonce have him because at the time I wasn’t ready…
If you could be anywhere (other than the office) right now, where would you be?
I’ve always wanted to take a trip and travel outside of the US to visit and learn from other cultures and businesses. I would love to visit the UK! Hint Hint Morgan (-:
